It's only boring until you figure out that people are reading it, and then you get a comment from some guy halfway around the world where it's the middle of summer and it's light out in the middle of (your) night.
And now, you have to figure out what it is you have to say, and go say it.
Greetings from America. Welcome to the blogosphere.

One of the most important things you can learn is how to communicate effectively. If you are a good writer, and a good speaker, people will take you seriously. The best way to do that is to write. A lot. Write a 300-500 word blog post every day for a couple months, and you'll find your voice.
You're fortunate to have one of the most respected teachers I know. If her assignments and projects weren't worthwhile, you wouldn't be wasting your time doing them.
I am responsible for technology (computers, networks, etc) for a school district of 4700 students in northern Ohio. It's a fairly affluent community. I could tell you more about it, but you have enough information to find out all you want to know. Google is a wonderful thing :-)
It's interesting that you ask how old I am. One of the attractive things about communicating online is that you can choose to share or not share details about yourself. When you meet someone in person, you make judgments about him or her based on age, skin color, physical appearance, disabilities, clothes, etc. But you don't know what kind of accent I have, or whether I'm Black or Asian or Hispanic, or if I'm wheelchair-bound, or blind. You don't know if I'm 25 years old or 50 or 75. So you have to judge me based on what I SAY and not on how I look. Isn't that wonderful?
