I would like to read about some of your hobbies in order to get to know you a bit better. My latest hobby is going to the gym. I have a program that I do every morning and I love to see how much easier it is each day. What are you hobbies? What do you like about them? Write a blog post about this and then maybe you could read some other blog and make comments on them. Enjoy!

Everyone likes comments. It means you know people are reading and that they are interested in what you have to say. It is a good practice to read and comment on about three blog posts from students other than your friends. But what do you say? How do you comment in the best way? It is easy to say" wow, great post". but is this really encouraging? Try to make your comments meaningful. When you are commenting think about asking a question. Some sentence starters for comments which I got from Anne Davis , a teacher and a blogger who has great ideas, are here:

Here is a site that you can use to publish work you are proud of, your opinions about things and even work in progress. Each week I will be giving you writing ideas, but it is important thast you write or publish what you want to write or publish (within reason, of course). Only use the suggested ideas if they are interesting to you. Remeber people will enjoy reading what you write if you are honest, respectful and interested in what you are writing about. You will gain confidence as you see your writing published and get comments from people you know and also other teachers and students from around the world. Good luck and enjoy this new adventure!
